Fall is in the air, which means it’s time to stay inside and watch some exciting new releases on the movie screen! This fall’s thrilling movies have something for everyone. Whether you like action, horror, or drama, there’s sure to be a movie that will satisfy your cinematic cravings!
Directed by John Krasinski and written by Krasinski and Bryan Woods, A Quiet Place stars Emily Blunt as a woman living in a post-apocalyptic world who is taught how to use sign language by her deaf daughter to communicate silently so as not to alert creatures that can hear. As the family are hunted down, it becomes apparent that sound also brings death upon them.
Naming itself after the great 1980s movie, The Predator is a 2018 sequel to the franchise. It was directed by Shane Black and stars Boyd Holbrook as Quinn McKenna, a former Army Ranger sniper haunted by his time in Afghanistan and the early 2000s era of PTSD. McKenna’s niece rallies him to take on this alien force once again and from there he embarks on a solo mission to hunt down these strange beasts. The film has an incredible visual effects display and thrills at every turn.
Movie 3: Slender Man
Now it’s time to talk about one of the worst movies I’ve ever seen: Slender Man. It was a bore fest and had way too many jumpscares that were just laughable. There was absolutely nothing even remotely scary about this movie, except for the fact that it made me want to leave my seat and run as far away from this theater as possible.
Movie 4: The Nun
The Nun is a truly terrifying creature, featuring a malevolent nun who seeks vengeance against those who harmed her many years ago in Romania. Viewers will have the chance to learn more about the origin of the diabolical protagonist while they watch her stalk and terrorize.
Movie 5: Mission Impossible – Fallout
In an effort to show their appreciation for all of the support, and as an early thank-you gift for all of the members and subscribers, director Christopher McQuarrie has released a new trailer for Tom Cruise’s Mission Impossible – Fallout! While this trailer has more than enough to get us ready for another round of action, mayhem, and suspense in July 2018, it also includes two pretty surprising twists.
Movie 6: Crazy Rich Asians
Director Jon M. Chu follows up his debut effort as director, Now You See Me 2, by tackling the Hollywood debut of Constance Wu. The film opens up on a lavish wedding in Singapore, where Rachel Chu (Constance Wu), an economics professor and part-time tutor is meeting her future husband’s family for the first time.
