The third and final installment of this trilogy will be released in 2022, and it has already been hailed as one of the best Indian films ever made. If you haven’t seen this epic action-adventure series yet, make sure to start from the beginning so you don’t miss out on anything important.
n 2020, the first sequel was released, followed by the second sequel just last month. Baahubali 3: The Conclusion will hit theaters next November 2019 and we can’t wait!
It seems this series may not be as over as it seemed, with many of the cast members hinting at a new Avengers movie to come soon after Infinity War’s release. And while Iron Man and Spider-Man both got their happy endings (sort of), other characters, including Black Widow and Hulk, are still unaccounted for—and Loki is MIA again. We’ll see if they all make it out alive in Avengers 4 coming in May 2019.
The first Marvel Studios movie of the year is Spiderman – Far From Home. As a highly anticipated sequel to Avengers: Endgame, fans will have their fingers crossed that this movie delivers more than Spiderman Homecoming did. I’ll be rooting for it as an avid comic book fan and even just as someone who enjoys movies in general.
. There’s also Men In Black International which has been on my radar for awhile now. It stars Chris Hemsworth, Tessa Thompson, Liam Neeson and Emma Thompson which is already enough reason to give it a shot!
Finally there’s Wonder Woman 1984 which stars Gal Gadot and Kristen Wiig. Gal Gadot played Wonder Woman in the 2017 blockbuster hit of the same name so we’re very much anticipating what she’ll do with her second installment.
We can’t wait to see Millie Bobby Brown back on our screens and have our hearts broken all over again in Godzilla II: King of Monsters, arriving on our shores this April. This time she will be joined by Vera Farmiga, Ken Watanabe, Kyle Chandler and O’Shea Jackson Jr. as her family tries to figure out who or what is responsible for threatening their new life in San Francisco and threatening to expose a secret behind mankind’s existence.
The Lion King
We couldn’t be more thrilled that The Lion King, one of our favorite Disney classics, is making its way to theaters in 2019. Director Jon Favreau has said he’s just
as interested in telling an emotional story as he is a visual spectacle, and it looks like his attention to detail will make this movie everything we could have hoped for. In addition to Beyoncé as Nala and Donald Glover as Simba, Billy Eichner and Seth Rogen will voice Timon and Pumbaa respectively. (Side note: Could they BE any cuter?)
Though an exact release date hasn’t been set, Vin Diesel hinted that Fast & Furious 9 may come out in 2020 or 2021 on Instagram and Facebook Live. (Source) We’re so ready to find out what’s next for our favorite speed racer family!
In addition to the exciting news of F&F9, a couple of major stars have been rumored as possible additions: Samuel L. Jackson and Daniel Craig. Jackson was rumored because he has a long history with F&F director Justin Lin – before being added to its cast as Agent J during his tenure with Columbia Pictures from 2000-2003 – while Craig was reported because he recently teased his interest in participating in one of these films following the end of his James Bond series with Spectre last year.
Disney announced it’s releasing Frozen 2 in 2022 and boy, did everyone go nuts. No plot details have been revealed yet, but Disney confirmed that Anna, Elsa, Kristoff and Olaf will all be back in the sequel.
Star Wars Episode IX
The 24th James Bond film was only announced in 2018 and doesn’t come out until 2020, but it’s still high on our list of anticipated movies. The more secretive details about the movie, such as what actor will play Bond, don’t make it any less exciting. We’ll be watching this one closely and keeping you posted on any updates!
Production of Bond 25 has been in some limbo for awhile, but it looks like things may be coming together after an update from Sean Connery (007’s first, and so far only non-British actor) seems to indicate that production may finally begin this October with his involvement.
Walt Disney Pictures has announced plans to release Toy Story 4 on June 21, 2019 as Pixar’s 22nd feature film and its 11th animated film. The fourth installment of the popular franchise will be directed by Josh Cooley (who co-directed Pixar’s Oscar-nominated film Coco) and produced by John Lasseter, Pete Docter, Andrew Stanton, Lee Unkrich and composer Michael Giacchino.
Dumbo II (2020)
Pete Kotzwinkle, who wrote the original book with Richard Muyzer, will be writing and producing Dumbo II. The film is currently scheduled to release in 2020. There have been no casting announcements so far, but our fingers are crossed for Timothée Chalamet as Dumbo and let’s throw Gina Rodriguez into Dumbo’s mom role just because she deserves it.
Terminator 6 (2019?)
It’s hard to keep up with all of Hollywood’s reboots and sequels, but if you’re in need of some robot-based movies, it looks like Terminator 6 might be worth checking out! The film will be produced by Deadpool director Tim Miller and will supposedly follow John Connor (Jason Clarke) as he tries to stop Skynet from destroying humanity by using time travel.
